The Dr. Ihsanullah Khan Medical Institute (IMI) is dedicated to the provision of a first class learning experience that will equip the students with the skills, ability and knowledge to successfully compete in their chosen disciplines. Our aim is to extend our boundaries to make Education accessible to all students regardless of their background, race or gender. IMI aims to provide all students and staff respect and dignity thereby ensuring the development of a first class learning environment.

The IMI is a private Institution affiliated with Faculty of Paramedical & Allied Health Sciences (FPMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The IMI was established with a view to produce professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. It is sponsored by a not-for-profit trust; namely “Dr. Ihsanullah Khan Health System (IHS)”, created in 2016. The first project of the IHS is the Dr.Ihsanullah Khan Medical Institute (IMI), established in 2017 by its Founding Managing Trustee; Mr. Fayaz Ahmed Khan. Currently, the IMI offers diploma in various medical technologies. The IMI is also applied for affiliation with Khyber Medical University, Peshawar for BS degree level programs. Since its inception, the IMI has steadily grown into one of the leading higher education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It plays a major role in grooming future leaders who can make a positive difference to the world around them.

To establish a State of the Art Health Institution at Umerzai which shall be a cradle of modern knowledge, skills and grooming of youth to prepare them for constructive and exemplary leadership roles.

To cover up the existing deficiency of paramedics with quality trained human resource who shall be able to play an effective and positive role in prevention, curative and rehabilitation in community at national and international level

To produce graduates who can meet the challenges in health care during peace and war from community to tertiary care.

History

  1. A large number of students looking for paramedical and health related education leave to the other cities such as District Mardan, Swat and Peshawar due to non-availability of standard educational institutions in District Charsadda providing quality higher education in the field of rehabilitation and allied health sciences. These students have to pay exorbitant fees for their education as well as their accommodation.
  2. The mission of the IMI is not only to provide quality health related education to the poor students of the locality of District Charsadda and its fringes, but to the people of nearby tribal areas as well. The District Charsadda is located at the Tribal belt of Mohmand Agency, the population of which is approximately 0.5 million as per 2017 Census report with an annual growth rate of 1.77.
  3. The mission of Dr. Ihsanullah Khan Medical Institute is also to provide essential educational and academic infrastructure to the local masses, and enable them to play a significant role in promotion of healthcare of the people of Pakistan.
 

Experienced & Qualified Teaching Staff

Our staff is experienced and qualified, and includes lecturers holding Masters’& MS/M.Phil qualifications in their respective fields from internationally recognized institutions. Bringing their experience to classes, lecturers and teachers implement a practical approach to theoretical bases. As a result, our students undergo a learning process which from the outset prepares them for the challenges that they may face in the world of work.

Building

The IMI occupies a spacious building of over four kanals. The building inhabits 3 floors covering a total of 20,000 sq ft area. The classrooms are equipped with projectors. High tech computer labs enable students to access the internet at high speed, helping their study and research time.

Modern IT Facilities

At IMI, students have access to state-of-the-art computer labs as well as a dedicated Internet browsing area. There are 20 PCs for student use which all provide free high-speed Internet access and the up-to-date software necessary to make your studies a success. All students also benefit from wifi hotspot zones.
